BUWAN NG WIKA 2024Buwan ng Wika (National Language of the Month) is an annual celebration of the Adorable Kids Learning Center every month of August at Wellness Hotel, Salmiya with the leadership and organization of the Filipino Department and Filipino Club officers and its members. This entire month's festivity aims to promote the national language.
Adorable Kids School aims to appreciate and raise awareness of the value of the native language for those who speak it and for society as a whole. It also recognizes Filipino as a national language that serves as the bridge to unite many ethnolinguistic groups in the country. Thus, the overall meaning of the theme is that the Filipino language should also embrace the multicultural identity of our nation.
These activities aim to develop students’ skills and abilities and to raise awareness of our national language. To set the ambiance, simple decorations such as banderitas were put up. Everyone in the office was also asked to wear traditional Filipino costumes. From our usual wear, we changed into clothes that certainly would have made our great-grandparents delighted. Have a look at some of them.
UNITED NATIONS DAY

Here in the Adorable Kids school celebrates United Nations Day with a parade of costumes and flags of different nations and holds lessons about cultural diversity. This is true to the spirit of the United Nations that commemorates friendship and partnership of nations.
This is a perfect time to showcase different countries’ cultures, while the others, look into the glamorous costumes that the different countries represent. But why do we celebrate UN Day? According to Crisol Translation Services (2018), UN Day is celebrated to raise awareness about the important contribution they make to cultural diversity. As an organization, the UN assists its members with minor to major concerns such as saving lives, helping refugees, fighting climate change, and promoting sustainable development. As stated by the Holidays Calendar (n.d.), United Nations Day is a time when we celebrate and honor all the work it is doing to promote peace around the world with its network of specialized agencies to the achievement of lasting world peace.
The whole event, which was hosted by our school staff members, walked us through different countries with the presentation of candidates that were divided into primary, intermediate, junior high school, and senior high school divisions. Aside from the presentation of their colorful costumes, we also get to know the culture of the countries they represent through the talent portion.
As Adorablenians we can help to bring forward the solutions and lead the way to an independent, resilient green future.
TRICK OR TREAT HALLOWEEN PARTY 2024

Halloween celebrations in the Adorable Kids include parties where students are often expected to arrive in a costume to reflect the day's theme.
Our dedicated Adorablenians staff held their annual Halloween parties, supporting work with fun, safe activities for kids and families.

As the whole world celebrates Christmas Day, here at Adorable Kids Learning Center, families are all welcome to join, to enjoy and feel the Christmas spirit even far from home. This event also brings us together to end the year fruitfully as one family.
